Have you heard if the operating system Vista and Epson Perfection 1650 scanner are incompatible?

I bought a scanner on Ebay recently. Seller said its Vista operating system is not compatible with your Epson Perfection 1650 scanner. I have to upgrade to a new computer but do not want to buy another scanner. Have you heard Heav talk about the incompatibility of the operating systems and scanners?

Seeing as Epson has Vista drivers on their support site http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=14552&prodoid=6464131&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows&x=30&y=12 I d say the woman was too lazy to download a driver.
